Cannot open Word.

Have same problem as brian and jeanne posted on August 6th.
I have struggled for at least 3 days to get my Word to
open but when I try, everything freezes and I have to
reset my computer. Am even unable to sign out properly.

Yes, but my computer knowledge is not great. I tried the
winword.exe /a, but all I got was a white screen with gray
edging, and nothing happened. I can't get into word to
use any of the pulldown instructions. I'M DESPERATE!!!!!

read your suggestion to someone else about using "What To
Do When Word Crashes." I am deeply grateful for your
suggestions!
