Cannot paste attachment - Outlook 2002 Out Of Memory

A

Andy Bailey

I am unable to copy a file from Explorer and paste it into an email as an
attachment. Outlook tells me it is out of memory and to close some
applications.

I can select the file in Explorer and use the "Send To - Mail Recipient"
option and also attach the file via the "Insert - File" option in the email
itself; these work fine.

It was working perfectly. The only changes to the system are the
installation of IE7 and Windows Defender. I uninstalled these just in case
but the problem remains.

Any help gratefully received.

Why are you pasting? Why not use Insert-File in the new message window? Have
you tried that?

Gordon - thanks for your reply.

I'm trying to paste pictures (jpg's), text files etc. The "Insert - File"
option in a new message window works fine and that's what I'm using at the
moment but I can't understand why the "Paste" route to attaching a file no
longer works when it used to.

Try emptying your temp internet and temp files.....

Cleared them out but no joy. Tried a detect and repair from add/remove
programs but no change.

Suppose I will use the other two methods to attach a file but it bugs me
that something used to work and then stops.

Thanks

Andy
