Cannot paste graphics from WindowsMail to ON-07

In Vista64, when I cut and paste from WindowsMail to ON-07, only the text is
pasted. The graphics do not appear. I can paste the same clipboad contents
into Word and the graphics display properly, so I know the copy function is
acquiring the graphics okay. In ON, for the paste button I have selected
Keep Source Formatting (actually I've tried the other two settings also, and
it doesn't make any difference...the graphics still are not displayed).

Selections containing graphics pasted from web pages display correctly in
OneNote. It's only pasting from email that has a problem with the graphics.

On another machine with XP Pro, SP3, I can cut and paste from Outlook
Express to ON-07 with the graphics included with no problem.

I cross-checked the options settings for OneNote on both machines and they
are identical.

Is this a Vista issue, a WindowsMail issue, a OneNote issue, or an Office
issue?

Yes, copy+paste does not work with WinMail mail messages.

Individual images can be brought into ON but not the whole if a message
including images.

As a workaround one may use Word as in-between tool.

Or use Print to OneNote -- with the 64-bit solution offered elsewhere
for Vista64.

BTW, anyone know if the 64-bit workaround works with Windows 7 64-bit?
I'm about to install it and was curious.
