cannot paste into word-xp version from any website

When I copy something from a website to paste into Word 2003, it
always
creates an error. The reason for the error is Styles1. I have
changed the
font in Word before I even try to copy and paste into a Word document
so that
it matches what I am copying but the error still happens. The error
tells me
that Microsoft Word has encountered a problem and needs to close.
Then when
I show the repairs, it says that the Styles was the problem. Any
suggestions

Note that text copied from a web page might include a lot of "garbage," that
is, it might be too big for Word to handle. Does the error occur even if you
just copy a single word or if you Edit | Paste Special as "Unformatted Text"?
