Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: intel
When I go to Insert->Picture->From File and specify a mounted volume: cifs://ETSD;MACBEAR@FILESERVER/MACBEAR, I do not get a picture preview in the "Choose A Picture" dialog box. I'm having this problem with all Office applications in which you can do the Insert->Picture->From File operation.
I don't have this problem if referencing a picture folder on my hard drive, then the picture preview works.
If I go at it a different way, Insert->Clip Art-> and from the Clip Art Gallery dialog box choose Import and specify the above mounted volume the preview feature works.
I work in a K-4 school and need to make access to these pictures as simple and straightforward as possible for the students.
Any help would be appreciated. TIA.
