Cannot print 2-sided in MS-Word

I don't know whether it is my 3-year old Mac or Word, but I do not
even have the much-coveted 2-sided printing option in the drag-down. I
have had 2 printers already, and both wouldn't do it. In fact, under
one of the menus, the two-sided printing sign is grayed out. Anything
I can install? I have searched so many websites and forums...

Thanks!

Two-Sided [ Duplex ] printing is a feature of the printer, not the software
or the Operating System. If the printers you're using don't specifically
offer Duplex the coding isn't written into their drivers & the feature won't
be available in the print dialog. There is nothing you can "add" or
"install" unless the mfr of the printer offers some sort of upgrade.

Otherwise your option is to duplex manually. Specifics may vary a bit
depending on your printer driver & specific version of Office & OS X - none
of which you mention - but in general;

In the Print dialog open the Copies & Pages Menu, select Microsoft Word &
choose the Odd Pages Only option. Once they've printed, manually flip the
paper & repeat the process to print Even Pages Only.

This is possible. When you go to print, press the command button + P for
print. That will bring up a dialogue box showing a preview of the document
that you are going to print. Where it says ³From² click on it and make it
say 1 of 1. Repeat the same procedure for page 2.
