I posted this question a few days ago, no response. if it's the wrong group,
please let me know. Thanks
Outlook 2000, Windows XP, any printer local or network. A recent problem,
post SP2 update (which went without a hitch).
Normally, I would click on the Outlook Print icon to print an e-mail and it
prints to the default printer. Now, if the message is HTML, it briefly
flashes the "printing to ..." display but the message never prints and the
print job doesn't appear in the printers document list (set a network
printer "Work Offline" to test) regardless of the printer set to be the
default.
If I go to Outlook Top Menu's File -> Print and try to print "Memo Style"
(the default) using any printer, networked or local, the printer is greyed
out/dimmed. In "Table Style" the printers can be chosen and all of them
print (the table, not the message). I can print from other parts of Outlook,
like Contacts, Journal, Notes, and the printer is not greyed-out regadless
of the Style chosen.
If I double-click to open the message and choose File -> Print, the Printer
dialog box never appears. Clicking the Message Printer icon doesn't print
the message either.
On another system (Outlook 2000 + Win98SE), HTML messages also cause the
printer selection to be grey-out, but printing from the Outlook Print icon
works. Printing from the Message Print icon or the Message File -> Print
prints HTML messages without a problem.
Any help is very appreciated.
