Cannot print Powerpoint slides with .png graphics

Alan Curtis

I am using PowerPoint X with OmniGraffle. I created a graphic in
OmniGraffle, saved it as a .png file and imported it into PowerPoint.
It looks good on the screen but when I print it the page is blank.

Any suggestions?

Alan - gmail account ;)

Can you open the PNG in another graphics application (photoshop or similar).
Re-save it from the application
Then insert it into powerpoint

Does that do the trick?

Thanks for the tip. I tried opening and resaving the .png file in
Photoshop and in GraphicConverter and reinserting into Powerpoint. The
page I print is still blank.

If it's a b/w printer, try printing again; make sure you've chosen Output:
"Color" in the Microsoft PowerPoint section of your print options setup.

If that doesn't help, try making a PDF instead of printing. See if the images
show up in the PDF. If they appear there but not on a regular printout, I'd put
money on it being a printer driver problem or driver/ppt conflict.

No. It does not appear in a save to pdf either.

I don't understand: "No" to what?

As to PDF ... any program running under Mac OSX can make PDFs ... it's a print dialog option, rather
than a save as option. In the print dialog box, choose Output Options. A Save As PDF button appears
in the dialog box.
