Cannot print to a network printer

Hi all.
I have a network printer that work fine whith programs as notepad or works
or the printer test page.
But when I try to print from Ms Word 2003 I receive an error: winword.exe...
application hang.....
Someone can help me?
I have Xp sp2 and office 2003 sp2.

Make sure that you have the latest printer driver and then delete and
reinstall the printer.

Is it a Dell printer? If it is then there is know bug with Office 2007 and
certain Dell printers. If it is a Dell, then you need to contact them with
the bug.
