Cannot publish a project

Hello,

We used to have our Project Server set-up& running. Lately
we are not able to publish any new project into it.

We are getting those errors on the event manager:

Component: PjSvrUtl
File:
C:\Proj10WebClient\source\server\pjsvrutl\PjENAgent.cpp
Line: 510
Error Number: 0x80004005
Description: Assert Detected. The error code was also
included.

File: C:\Proj10\WebClient\source\utility\pjsmtpemail.cpp
Line: 306
Error Number: 0x80004005
Description: Assert Detected. The error code was also
included.

Those errors point out to permisology on D:\Program
Files\Microsoft Project Server\Bin\ViewDrop : but we
checked it and is OK.

After publishing a project (we don't get any error in the
process) but trying to look at the tasks in it, we got
this message " There is no information to display in this
view. Either the project manager has not published the
project plan or there is no information in the project
plan to display."

Any help will be highly appreciated,
Mig

.

We are having exactly the same problems. The system was
working but was running off of the administrators
password for access to the server. We have fixed this
but still cannot get it working (although other errors
such as OLAP cube build is now working again.

I have attached the link to the Microsoft solution that
may solve your problem (it did not solve ours). I will
try to keep in touch if you send me you email address.
Mine is (e-mail address removed)

Hello,

I think we solved the problem.

If a spooler problem occurs during publishing, then all
further publishing is stopped until the spooler problem
is resolved. It brings up the message that you are
seeing.

I had the problem and undid the request (see spooler
functions).

Publishing has worked fine since then.

BTW My spooler error was caused when migrating old plans
that had resources with conflicting ID information).

Thanks,

Stuart
