Cannot publish assignments

I am using Project Professional 2002 and Project Server 2002. I can save and publish project plans to the server, but I cannot publish assignments. All of the resources are enterprise resources (not generic) that use Windows authentication

When I select Republish All Assignments from the Collaborate menu I get
"An Update has not yet been sent to resources who have been removed from task assignments. An update with this infiormation will be sent now. Click OK to proceed.

After clicking OK, nothing happens

There is nothing in the event logs on either the client or the server. The Viewdrop directory has the appropriate permissions

What could be going wrong

I don't understand why you think nothing is happening. Are you team members
unable to see their task assignments in the View My Tasks page in PWA? Let
us know more about your problem.

That's correct Dale, the team members cannot see any tasks in Project Web Access. Additionally, I have Project Pro configured to show a message box after publishing and no message box ever appears
