Cannot quit Visio 2002

When I am finished using Visio and try to exit, it restarts by itself. I
can't find any related articles in the knowledgebase about this. Anyone have
advise??

P.S. I have the same problem on two computers.

Thanks

I have the same problem. KB article 297397 (Cannot Quit Visio After You
Close a Drawing) claims that this happens if you open the shapesheet and
then open the document stencil in a drawing, but I am finding it to
happen all of the time. The article acknowledges the problem, but only
offers the solutions of (1) not doing the above or (2) using End Task
(at least twice) to get out of Visio. I am finding that I sometimes
have to end process to stop it.

I tried following the instructions in the KB article, does not seem to
apply. This restarts happen no matter what I was doing in Visio and ending
the task does not help. I will try killing the process and hope they come up
with a fix. I am wondering if a recent update has cause the issue? Never had
this before, will go through updates and see if possible.

Bitcrazy,

I was having the same problem until I unchecked the
check box for Enable COM add-ins under Tools->Options
advanced tab in Visio.

For me, I believe the issue lays within the new version
of Abobe Acrobat 6 Pro.

Hi Joe,

I just tried that and it did not help me. Interestingly, if I go into
Tools-> Macro -> COM Add-ins, Acrobat is not listed, although I do have
Acrobat 6 Pro installed.

Cheers,
