cannot re-install BCM - help!

After spending way too much time trying to get the SQL server to
start, and trying every troubleshooting solution for 2 weeks, I
finally just backed up the data and uninstalled and attempted to re-
install BCM. Well after getting to almost the end of the install, I
get an error message saying install failed - check the log. Here is
the text of 5 error messages in a row, all from the same source: MSSQL
$MSSMLBIZ

Server TCP provider failed to listen on ['any'<ipv4>5356]. Tcp port
already in use.

TDSSNI client initialization failed with error 0x271d, status code 0xa

Could not start the network library because of an internal error in
the network library.

SQL server could not spawn FRunCM thread.

This was at the bottom of the setup log:

5356 is the TCP port used by the BCM v3 sqlserver instance, MSSMLBIZ.

Try uninstalling every bit of sql server from the machine before
installing BCM again.
