Cannot read one instance of this recurring appointment

I'm running Outlook 2003 on XP Pro SP1.

I frequently get the error "Cannot read one instance of this recurring
appointment" when I try to open an instance of a recurring appointment that
I have changed (in other words, I set up a recurring appointment, open one
instance of it and change it's start time, attendees, etc., then save it).

I also can't find the file "frmcache.dat" on my HD (I searched for that
string and didn't get any results).

Could anyone give some idea on what happening?
