Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: Exchange

All of the account settings are EXACTLY the same. I can send emails, but cannot receive.

Error message: The server for account "my account here" returned the error "Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password".

I cannot find the "Folder properties" when I control click on the account name to try to delete the cache.

Any suggestions?

Bump. Anybody got any ideas?

In your message last week you said

to try to delete the cache.

When you control-click (or right-click) on the account name or the Inbox,
you should see a contextual pop-up menu. Select Empty Cache on that menu.

Thank you for the reply, Ed. Unfortunately, the 'Empty Cache' option does not appear in the contextual menu when I right click on the account name. It will appear in Entourage X. Also, under my account name, there are no folders, for example INBOX, DELETED ITEMS, DRAFTS, SENT ITEMS, etc. do not appear.

That's strange. Does Synchronize Now appear on the contextual menu? If so,
what happens if you select it?

No, Ed. Synchronize Now does not appear. Available commands are - Open, Edit Account,Receive Complete Folder List and Get Info. When I try to select any of them I am asked for the account password, which it then rejects.

Then I'm afraid I'm out of ideas. Perhaps someone here who uses Exchange
more than I do has some other ideas.
Good luck.
