My users are having difficulty "recopying"
or "overwriting" an exisit contacts in their contacts
folder.
For example, assume "John Doe" is already is their contact
folder. This contact had been updated somewhere in
another folder, and what my users occasionally do
is "recopy" that contact into their own folder.
However, if the contact has text or an entry in
the "notes" field area, they get this prompt:
"The text or attachments in the current contacts message
body will not be copied to the existing contact. If you
wish to keep the new message body information, select
Cancel and make a copy of it. If you don't need the new
information, click OK."
I guess they could copy/paste, but my users have been have
been complaing about this. I've searched the internet to
no avail. I am using Outlook XP SP-2.
Any insight would be appreciated. Frankly, maybe it's
supossed to work this way and there is no solution.
Thanks in advance,
Don
