Yesterday my PC crashed and many files got corrupted including the Office
Shared files directory. I could not repair the damage and tried a reinstall.
It says I do not have a Qualifying version of Office. I tried my Office 2000
CD, Office XP CD... reinstalled Office XP... nothing worked. I went through
the KB and manually removed all the registry keys and files on my PC and
tried to reinstall... still says no Valid version of Office exists. Obviously
something is still on the PC that is blocking my reinstall. I was considering
downloading the trial as a way to repair the install, then reinstall from the
CD once I have a valid install. Any suggestions?
