Cannot reinstall Office 2007 Beta

I originally installed the Beta 2 version of Office 2007. Following a Windows
reinstallation -- formatting my hard drive, annual maintenance, but caused by
ACT! 2006 -- I reinstalled the Office Beta. When the Beta 2 came out, I
uninstalled the original beta, and tried to install the new version.

It would not reinstall. The problem seems to be that I have a separate
partition for my programs, all of which I install separately from my C:
Windows partition. The Office installation refuses to install into another
custom location.

If anyone else has been able to install their version into a non-Windows
partition, please advise. Thank you in advance.

Hi D.A.,

While you can choose, through a custom installation choice, a non Windows drive partition for the home of the core Office Program
files there are files that are shared ones that will need to write to the Windows folders. If you have blocked access to that drive
then Office would usually fail to install.

If you have not blocked access to that drive then what are the steps you're using, what is the exact error message you receive and
at what point in the installation?
