Cannot remove Addin -- Help!

Z

I have an Addin on the server, in a given location. I want to remove it,
and have removed it. But, when I go to Tools|Addins, it is still checked, I
uncheck it, and it goes looking for whatever it can find as an Addin. Even
worse (I guess), the "Remove" option is grayed. So, the question is, how
can I remove an Addin in this scenario?

TIA

Thanks for the input, Word Heretic. I tried that; didn't work. Other
ideas? You think uninstalling and re-installing Office would help? If I
get no other suggestions, will try that this evening.

G'day "zSplash" <zNOSPAMSplash@ gci.net>,

ahhh. I can see we have crossed wires. You need to PERM remove it?
That's a wee bit trickier :)

A batch file can do it, but launching it sans word is a bit trickier.

An uninstall icon to said batch file perhaps?

Hi, wHeretic. The trick was to remove the shortcut to the addin stored in
the startup folder. There are so many different things to remember when
dealing with all this stuff. Thanks for your help!
