Cannot run report with printer. Cannot print without.

I

Indinfer of BMSI

I have:
Microsoft Access 2002 with SP3
No local printer
Network printer with path "\\fileserver\gb_2f_itd"

Ask if there is anything else to make a difference, because I don't know
what else to supply.

Here is the problem. Start with printer installed as network printer.
1. Click on a report in Access database window. Get message: "There was a
problem retrieving printer information for this object. The object may have
been sent to a printer that is unavailable."

2. Uninstall printer so there are no printers.

3. Repeate step 1 clicking on report. Result is report displays beautifully
in preview mode.

4. Right click on report, selecting Print from the popup menu. Result is
error "You must install a printer before you print".

Therefore, I see that I can only run reports if I have no printers
installed. But if I have no printers installed, I cannot print reports. And
if I have a printer installed so that I can print reports, I cannot get a
report to print because I cannot run a report.

Additionally, remember that I have no local printer (and should not need one
since I can print to the network printer using Word. IF I INSTALL the generic
printer that prints to a file, installing as LPT1, and install the network
printer (so I have both the local and network printers), then I can run
reports because I have a local printer, and I can print the reports to the
network printer.

So what's the problem, you ask? Now I can't select fonts such as Ariel and
Times New Roman. And my boss want the reports to print with the fonts he
selected.

Is there some way to get everything to work in MS Access? (can run report,
can print report to network printer, AND can use fonts)
