Cannot save ASP pages

J

John Waugh

Using FP2K3 and 2000Pro using IIS. Extensions enabled on both sites.

Have an existing site which I develop on my computer (localhost) for testing
before I publish to the live site.

Had to reformat my local computer recently and then published my live site
back to my local computer.

Have now encountered a problem whereby I cannot save asp pages (on
localhost) which contain a DRW result on my local computer. It seems to just
hang at the "Processing file...." stage before giving me an error message
stating:

"The server sent a response FrontPage could not parse. If you are trying to
connect to a Windows SharePoint Services server, check with the server's
administrator to make sure Windows SharePoint services is installed
properly."

Once I click "OK" it then asks me to "Save As" and then the roundabout
starts again!

I don't have SharePoint installed on my local computer, nor is it on my
hosts server.

I'm lost

Can you open your localhost site in FP 2003 as a server based web?
- if you can you can try reverse publishing
