Cannot Save Enterpise Global after Modifications

We run P2002 Sevrer and just recently have not been able to save the
Enterprise Global after modifications, e.g. new views, outline code changes,
etc. When attempting to save we get the following messages:

"The resource global is already checked out to another user. You may
retry accessing the enterprise resource pool or cancel the operation."

"Microsoft Project was unable to copy the base calendars from the
enterprise global to the enterprise resource pool."

Has anyone experienced this problem and if so how did you resolve.

Dale,

This does help partially. We still find that the Resource Global Pool is
checked out when attempting to save the Enterprise Global and must therefore
close the Enterprise Resource Pool prior to making/saving changes to the
enterprise Global.

I donot understand the resaon that the Enterprise Resource Pool is open when
attempting to modify/save to the Enterprise Global.
