cannot save to CD-RW

I am trying to save my Excel worksheet to my CD-RW, but it says it is marked "read only". I went to the CD drive and on the general tab un checked the read only box and tried to click "apply" , then I got an error message saying access was denied. How do I get past this error and save to a CD-RW

I just put in a new CD-RW and it won't let me save to it all all. It says that I do not have access to that drive and to see the Administrator. I am the Admistrator and am logged on as so.

Hi Karen,
Excel, like most programs can't save to a CDRW.
You have to "burn" the disk with special software like Nero.

Save the file to your HD and copy it to the CDRW.

Even if allowed you would NOT want to do that. Save the workbook on the HD
and COPY to the floppy/CD/DVD.
