Cannot search in Outlook 2007

Hello
I cannot search across:
Mail
Calender
Contacts
Tasks
Any of it!

In Outlook 2007, I have read other threads on this subject and
rebuilt/restored my outlook folders.

My outlook profile sits on an exchange server, does this make a difference
and I have installed the desktop tool bar.

Any ideas...its driving me up the wall!
