Cannot see my autoshape drawing

After I draw a diagram using Autoshapes, save and close the document, I have
trouble viewing the diagram when I re-open the document. I would have to
click my mouse blindly around the general area it was located before it
"appears." I don't have this problem when I open the document on a different
PC. I use Word 2003. What can I do so that I wouldn't have this problem with
my PC?

When you do have the object selected, Format, AutoShpe, Layout, ensure that
it is not "Behind text".
Also what view are you using, as some do not view images and objects?

Sorry for taking long to reply DeanH

The object is formatted "In front of text" and I use the "Print Layout"
view. The problem persists even when I change the view. Whenever I scroll
away from the object after I get it to display, I find that it would have
disappeared when I scroll back to it. I then have to click crazily over the
general area before it starts to display.

Try reducing or turning off hardware acceleration in Start | Control
Panel | Display | Settings | Advanced | Troubleshoot. If this fixes the
problem, then you might want to check the website of the manufacturer of
your video card/graphics adapter to see if there is an updated driver
available.
