Cannot see page numbers/date on slides

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: Power PC

I have 8 layout slides all with exactly the same text box on each master with a date and page number on the masters. Only one page shows up in regular view with the correct information - date and page number.

I can't figure out where they god. Has anyone had this problem?

Are you actually typing the date & numbers on the Masters? I'm afraid that's
not how it's done. Use the Insert menu to select either Slide Number or Date
and Time or go to the View menu & select Header and Footer. Either will take
you to the same dialog to supply the necessary information.

The placeholders on the Masters are for the purpose of determining the
formatting & placement of the content that appears within them when you do
one of the above actions.
