Cannot see subject in Calendar Display

I just installed Outlook 20003, upgrading from OL 2000.
I've tired every setting I understand to try and get the
calendar to display the subject and information about an
appointment. In any display other than "Month" view. In
any other view I just get white boxes and then have to
hove the pointer over the appointment to see what it is.

Is there a setting I'm missing? The strange thing is
everything before the install date wroks correctly...I
can see them.
