Cannot see text in file

I've just upgraded to Snow Leopard on my MacBook. Running Word 2008. Just
tried to look at a file from a client and there is no text visible. The bar
at the bottom says it has over 27,000 words but none are visible. Just
paragraph markers and track changes boxes. Any ideas? The is desperate --
it's my work and I've no IT people to consult.

Bring up the Reviewing toolbar if it is not already on your screen, and play
with the "Display for Review" settings (in the left-most drop-down).

Chances are you are set to "Original" and the text of the document has been
completely replaced, so there is nothing to show.

If you set "Final showing markup" you should see the text.

You may wish to check in your Word>Preferences>Tracked Changes to see what
"Mark" you are assigning to the various kinds of edit. If any of them are
set to "White" or "Hidden", you won't see them :)

Hope this helps
