Cannot send an outgoing email

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: pop Setting up Entourage for the first time. I can receive messages, but cannot send messages. I may not be using the correct outgoing server. I have checked this and am using the same smtp server as my apple mail uses (this is for a different email account). Does anyone have any idea what I am doing wrong?

Most likely it's the advanced SMTP settings. Your ISP should have the info
posted on the web. You can check to see some of the common settings here:
