Cannot Send Email from Shared Contacts Folder

Hello,

I created a sub-contacts folder in my folder list and shared it with another
employee by right-clicking on the sub-contact folder and selecting "Share..."
and giving the employee the ability to add, edit and delete.

They received the email and clicked on the Open this folder button and were
able to see the contacts in my sub-contacts folder.

However, when they right-click on a contact and select "Create...new message
to contact"; fill out the email and click on Send a "Cannot Send Item"
message displays and they are unable to send the email.

Any thoughts on why this doesn't work? I have tried giving them total
rights on this folder but they still receive the same message.
