Cannot send email with attachments

I am a new Entourage user and have had no problem sending email except when I include an attachment. I presume there is a problem with my smtp server, have consulted my isp (comcast) and tried all of the options they suggest with no change. I get these messages:

5.1.1 recipient invalid domain (even though I know the address is valid)

Cannot send mail. The SMTP server does not recognize any of the authentication methods supported by Entourage. Try changing the SMTP authentication options in Account settings or contact your network administrator.

Attachments send fine from Mail. Help! Thank you.

Look for a space in front of the name. I use Comcast and have to problems
sending with either Entourage 2004 or Entourage 2008.

Is it all attachments? Is it just to certain senders? Have you tried to send
to yourself as a test?

I'm having the same issue. I use Road Runner in NYC. All settings are
correct. I send email fine. Any sizable attachment never goes through
in Entourage 2008. Never had this issue with the prior version. File
size is within fair range (i can use webmail and send fine). I suggest
some bug in Entourage 2008.

Sign up for a free Gmail account or something similar and test through
their service. You might also make the same test *off* the Roadrunner
network to verify it's not your home network connection that has the
problem.

Hope this helps!
