Cannot send email

I have Outlook 2007 and am running Vista Ultimate. I can receive Outlook
emails, no problems. However, I cannot send. There appear to be 2 emails in
Read Receipts that are blocked. I’ve changed my SMTP to 25, then 2525, now
587 = none of those fixed the problem. I’ve tried MDBVU32.EXE and Outlook Spy
but when I try to delete via IMsgStore::Abort…… both files return with
MAPI_E_NOT_IN_QUEUE.
Now what?

Which type of mail account are you using?
What error do you get when you are trying to send?
If you have a virus scanner that integrates with Outlook, disable/uninstall
this integration and try again.

- Email account type: POP3.
- Error says: Task 'my email server name - Sending' reported error
(0x80042109) : 'Outlook cannot connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server.
If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or
ISP.' FYI - I set my Server Timeouts as: Long (10 minutes)

- I am not using a virus scanner.

Does it work when you start of with a new mail profile?

Can you send out when using another email account?
For instance, try it with a free POP3 email account from Gmail.
It can help narrowing down whether this is an issue with that specific
provider or within your general configuration.

Yes, I can send out when using another email account (account B). But still
not if I use the account that is used 95% of the time (account A).

I haven't tried to delete account A and start over with the same info. I'll
try that now and look forward to receiving your reply.

I just deleted that account. Closed Outlook. Opened it up again. Created that
same account with the same settings. Same result. I have asked our SysAdmin
to change my password to see if that will help. Any other suggestions?

As I said; try it with a new mail profile. Removing and re-adding the
account is not sufficient in this case.
