O
obasanla
I have been out of town for over a month when suddenly I could not receive
any emails. I thought the problem would solve itself when I returned to my
home wireless, but I am still having problems connecting. So I tried some
problem solving on my own to no avail.
This is the error message I get when I went into Tools/Email Accounts/View
or Change.
Errors: Log onto incoming mail server (POP3): The specified server was
found, but there was no response from the server. Please verify that the port
and SSL information is correct. To access these settings close this dialog,
then click More Settings and click on the Advanced tab.
OK, I did that. Under the Advanced tab, the Incoming server (POP3): = 110
and Outgoing server (SMTP): = 25. Nothing is checked in this menu. I hit
the "Use Defaults" and tried it but it still doesn't work.
I use Charter and can access and send emails from the Internet, but nothing
happens in Outlook. I turned off my Norton Anti-Virus for 15 minutes to see
if that was the cause, but I still can't receive.
I am not literate when it comes to firewalls and settings, so is there
anyone who could help me out? I read some of the posted messages, but I
didn't see anything like mine.
Thank you in advance!
