Cannot send, receive OK

Version: v.X Operating System: Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther) Processor: Power PC Email Client: pop Saw same question come up previously, but still no reply. Folks, we need help.
The only change was from ATT's DSL to ATT"s Uverse, fiber optic.

The only change was from ATT's DSL to ATT"s Uverse, fiber optic.

1. If you can receive but not send then you have a bad SMTP configuration
2. If you can send but not receive you have a bad POP or IMAP configuration

You can try re-entering info.
You can delete account and create a new one.
Using copy/paste can result in an extra space being added. Type carefully.
Check your Keychain for corruption.
Check under advanced settings. Most ISPs require advanced settings now for
SMTP. Check the website for exact info on SSL and ports.

Thanks Diane, did what you suggested, deleted accounts and reinstated, receiving OK but still will not send.&quot;A connection failure has occurred.&quot;
&nbsp;Error: -23016
Cleaned up my Keychain
Still stumped

It is possible that your ISP has changed their security settings. The first thing to try is to see if you need to use Authenticated SMTP or a different Port setting.

Try the setting here:

Hi,
I'm having the same issue. I set up my account on Entourage over a year ago and it was working just fine. Then out of the blue, a couple of days ago, it stopped sending emails. I still receive fine, but can't send. I tried re-entering all settings, creating new accounts, doesn't work so far. Help please? I have also tried using authenticated smtp and a different port. Still no luck...

Contact your ISP and see what setting they require for SMTP. It¹s possible
they upgraded their servers and now require some type of SSL, port or
authentication. It¹s impossible to guess what it might be.
