Hello,
I am now truly out of ideas. I have spent the last 4 hours running into
walls with trying to share the BCM database between 2 PC - almost identical
computers. One is a Quad and one is a Dual. The rest is the same.
I am using Norton Internet Security Version 15.0.0.60 and I am using Windows
XP Professional SP 3. I have Office 2007 Professional (and by default Outlook
2007 with BCM).
I can see each computer and can log onto each computer from one to the
other. I have used the SQL Server Surface Area Configuration tool to ensure
that database can accept local and remote connections.
I am certain that somehow I am missing something ridiculously obvious - but
these two eyes and one little brain seem to not see the problem.
When I go to connect to the database I get the error message : "Cannot
access Database server on Computer XYZ"
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
Best regards and happy holidays.
