Cannot specify different values for the columns of each row in a repeating section

I cannot specify different default values for each rows as referenced

Further Info:
I am looking to copy a group of repaeting data from a Secondary Data
into my Main data source upon refresh (fired by a button), I need to
do this without code, if I set the default values for each row I pre-
created as referenced in the above blog I could do it using the
ordinal value for the array element ( Array[1], Array[2], etc). Every
trick I have tried to get each row to evaluate to a different element
along the lines of Array[rownumber] has failed, any help would be
appreciated.
