Cannot start Outlook

I have installed Office 2003 Pro Enterprise Edition.
Everything seems to work great except Outlook. When I
attempt to start Outlook, I briefly see a window that
says "Configuring Outlook accounts. Creating welcome
message". Then I get an error message that says, "Cannot
start Microsoft Office Outlook. Unable to open the
Outlook window. The set of folders could not be opened."
I have tried uninstalling Office and starting over, but I
got the same result. Any suggestions?

While the error message was on the screen, I opened
another copy of Outlook. This time I got a longer
message. It said, "An extension failed to initialize.
Can't open file: extend.dat. The file may not exist, you
may not have permission to open it, or it may be open in
another program. Right click the folder that contains the
file, and then click properties to check your permissions
for the folder."

I did a search for extend.dat and it does exist. When I
checked it's folder's permissions, I didn't see anything
unusual, but I'm not really sure what I'm looking for.

if you find it, please rename it to extend.old or delete it.

try start it on the cmd..I have a problem too, the message is "Canno
start....,command line arguments are invalid...", I start outlook o
the command line, but if click on the shortcut or on the .exe file thi
message is appear...and cannot start it...It's not a problem for me
bec I am admin on my server, but if y understand samething else, writ
me, please...Bye
