I have recently upgraded to Office 2007. I was able to successfully
configure Outlook on my profile in XP but I cannot seem to get my wife's
Outlook set up on her XP profile. I have established her mail account and
even opened her PST data file (and can see her emails/contacts). When she
opens Outlook, she gets a message that says
"Cannot start processing services. Outlook cannot start because a data file
to send and receive mail cannot be found. To add a data file, such as a
personal folder file, double-click the Mail icon in Windows Control Panel."
After Outlook opens, she sees all her emails/contacts but when she attempts
to reply to an email, she gets a message that says "Outlook cannot start
because a data file to send and receive mail cannot be found..."
I tried a fix I found in another post (putting this in the Run command:
outlook.exe /promptimportprf \\localfolder\outlook.prf) but it hasn't
helped. I even tried to establish a brand new PST data file but that was
unsuccessful as well.
I just find it strange that it works fine for me under my profile but it
doesn't work for her. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? I'd appreciate
it and so would my wife!!
Thanks.
