cannot sync with active sync

I installed McAfee total protection. Since then, my HP Ipaq will not sync my
Calendar, tasks, notes or contacts in active sync. I keep getting a message
saying attention required for these items. Then it says "synchronation
cannot be started because you are not able to log on to the network and
access information. Restart your desktop computer and sync again. If
problem persists, contact your network administrator." and it says "
Information type not synchronized" "items of one or more information types
cannot be synchronized. Disconnect and reconnect your device."
I have shut down my PC and restarted, disconnected cables, etc. nothing
works.
By the way, I could sync my images, synced files, favorites...everything
else just not this outlook data.
I have also disabled all of McAfee "Total Protection"
Does anyone have any idea?
