I get a message from Outlook 2007 saying it cannot turn off a reminder for
two calendar items.
I synchronise my Outlook 2007 with an Exchange server, and on another PC and
laptop I synchronise using Outlook 2003, and also on a PDA.
It's only Outlook 2007 that displays the following messages when I click on
'dismiss' when a reminder dialog box appears:
'Cannot turn off the reminder. You may be reminded again. Cannot locate
recurrence information for this appointment.'
I deleted the appointments from the calendar, which got synchronised to all
the Outlooks, but I still get the same message in Outlook 2007.
I read a KB article for Outlook 2000 indicating this could happen due to
different versions of Outlook when using Calendar automatic colour options -
which I am using in Outlook 2003. I reset the automatic formatting options
in Outlook 2003 but that didn't help.
I've run 'scanost.exe' which ran fine, but didn't clear up the problem.
Is there a way to zap these reminders? Also, is the cause of the problem due
to the automatic formatting?
Thanks for any advice.
