Cannot unhighlight cells

This is a problem that happens every once in a while. You'll be working in your spread sheet and mouse will begin highlighting all cells. You cannot save the spreadsheet. You have to end task....rebooting usually takes care of the problem.

I have tried different mouses and problem has occured docked and undocked. I have also reinstalled MS office 2002.

Any suggestions?

Try re-installing you mouse drivers. XL has a habit of screwing these up on
installation
