cannot uninstall Microsoft trial 2007

Can someone please help me?

I have been trying to figure this out for about 3 weeks now. I just do not
know what to do here.

In short - I installed an MS office TRIAL.

I had previously bought MS office about a year ago, and since I had to
reinstall/format my entire hard drive, I needed to contact the place I bought
it from.

I figured, in the meantime while waiting for them to get back to me - I
could download a trial edition.
Biggest mistake I ever made.

When I uninstalled my TRIAL version of the software, and installed my PAID
version, it was not taking my PAID product key code... only the trial one. I
have tried about 7 times to COMPLETELY remove the trial edition, but have had
no luck.
I tried contacting where I bought my paid version, and they said the key is
working on their end - and that the trial is conflicting with the paid! ( I
know this...lol)
Try as I might, even searching MS ...and going into the registry even...I
can't remove it!!

Can someone please help me? I can't afford to be re buying the software
again...

You need to uninstall the following applications as well.
1-: Activation assistant for office 2007
2-: Compatibility pack for office 2007
3-: 2007 Microsoft syatem(If present)
4-: Any other office application
5-: Search and delete the file opa12.dat(opa12) and the location will be as
follows
Win xp=C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application
Data\Microsoft\OFFICE\DATA
Win Vista=<<Click Start
Collapse this imageExpand this image
In the Search box, type %programdata%, and then press ENTER.
Double-click the Microsoft folder.
Double-click the Office folder.
Double-click the Data folder, right-click the Opa12.dat file in that folder,
and then click Delete.

Important Do not delete the Opa12.bak file.
Close the Windows Explorer window.
Start a 2007 Office program to start the 2007 Office Activation Wizard>>
Hope that it will resolve the issue

It did not work. :(

I followed the directions and then installed my bought copy of MSO. When I
tried to enter my product key for my bought software, the key was "invalid."

I had to enter the trial product key code.

Is there anything else I can try? I just don't know what to do.

I think you missed something
Follow manual removal again, clean out any temp files, then reboot when done
Then recheck

Would it not be faster and easier for you if you re-format your hard disk and
start all over again including installing your MS Office paid version?

You have already wasted 3 weeks and it has taken you nowhere so a re-format of the
HD is the only best option left for you now!.

He was correcting DL and adding what DL forgot to address!! He could also be showing
off that he knows better than DL like all junkies do here all the time!
