Cannot uninstall office 2007 RTM - setup location unknown

When I try to uninstall office 2007 RTM, I've got an error message:
"Setup cannot continue because a required file is either corrupted of not
available. Run Setup again from the original source disc or download
location". I cannot recall from where I've installed it. Is there a way to
find out ?

I received that same error when I tried to install Office Pro Plus 2007 from
the MSDN CD I created from the ISO image I downloaded from the MSDN web
site. I had used the latest version of Nero to create the CD.

It turns out either Nero is flawed or the ISO image was made badly, as there
actually are files missing from the CD I made. There were directory entries,
but no files to go with them. One solution is to use WinRAR to reconstitute
the ISO image into the original set of CD files on my hard drive and then
install from there. That worked because WinRAR could do the job correctly,
unlike Nero.

Bye.
