When we go to "View My Tasks" - users are not able to enter anyting into the
"% Complete" or any of the other fields to reflect actual hours. What setting
are we missing to allow team member to be able to update actuals on the View
My Tasks screen?

Hi AmyB,

Project Server allows 3 different ways to update time. You can force
tracking settings or alternetafly give the Project Manager the option to
change the tracking method.
You will be able to find this setting under ADMIN > CUSTOMIZE PROJECT WEB
ACCESS > Tracking Settings

I hope this will guide you in the right directions. Please let me know if
you need further assistance.

Hi Marc - our current settings on that Admin page are "Percent of work
complete: Resources report the percent of work complete, between 0 and 100%"
is the default method for reporting progress on tasks.

Then "Allow project managers to change the default method for reporting
progress if a different method is appropriate for a specific project. " is
also set. The Time Period Settings is set to "Non Managed Periods - Allow
Project and Project Web Access users to update actuals." So with those 3
settings we thought we'd be able to update actuals in Timesheet and Gantt
views.

We have the % complete field visible in our Timesheet and Gantt view but for
everyone it is still uneditable - any ideas?

Thanks - Amy

Hi Amy,

Yes with these settings you should be able to enter time in the timesheet.
The next thing I would do is check if the Project Manager has changed the
settings for hes/her projects within Project Professional. Under tools >
customize > Published Fields you will be able to see if the setting of a
Project has changed.
Hope this helps
