Cannot update local DB using ODBC

I have a web application which accesses a local database via ODBC and it
gives the following error:
"Error Type:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers (0x80004005)
[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Cannot update. Database or object
is read-only."
How do I get around this problem?

you need to move to SQL Server and Access Data Projects
