Cannot Update Office 2002

My son just moved to Texas from Calif. He gave me his
old laptop before he left. I'm cleaning it up and
updating the office 2002 products. When the auto updates
are ready to install it asked for the installation disk.
My son can't find it. I tried using my personal Office
2002 installation disk but it didn't work. Is there a
work-around?

Hi Bob,

If your Office XP CD is a different edition than that listed in
Add/Remove Programs in the Windows Control Panel you'll need to
contact MS for a replacement CD for the edition you need.
(800) 360-7561 in the U.S. / http://microsoft.com/worldwide otherwise
If it was an OEM edition contact the PC supplier for a replacement.
