Cannot update Office 2003

C

Cody

I have just installed Office 2003 Student and Teacher Edition on a newly reformatted HD installed with XP Professional. Three updates show up to be downloaded...they have been downloaded...but then it says "Installation Unsuccessful." So then I've tried each one individually, and the Word update is the only on that has worked...the rest still don't. I also know of a few other people having this same exact problem.

Thanks for any help!!

Just a follow-up... I looked in the Office11 folder and found two files of the updates that failed to installed. I double clicked these two files and they appeared to be installing. So I go back to Office Updates and nothing show up anymore. So they must have installed correctly. Since they install OK by doing it manually, is there some glitch with Office Update?

I too get the failed message. I have in the past downloaded the bottom two
files and assumed that they installed all by them selves. Is this not true?

What were the names of the files you found and what were their locations in
the office folder.

Did you find the answer to you original question?
