Cannot update Office Pro 2003 or repair

Error 2203 An internal error has occurred. C:\Windows\installer\2b5e44.ipi
-214728035.

I've been runnning Office 2003 Pro for sometime now with no apparent
problems but all of a sudden I cannot install office 2003 Pro updates, do a
detect and repaire or a reinstall. I've searched for hours for a solution and
nothing has worked.

Please any help will be greatly appreciated.
