Cannot update to SP1 12.1.0

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

I have tried a couple times but it gets stuck everytime it gets to "Running AutoUpdate Installer Script". I left my computer on for a whole night but the progress bar didnt move at all. What is the problem?
