I support a large group of users at a University. We try to support
as many browsers as possible. I understand the limitations
SharePoint
and Project Server have with anything other than IE. However,
Firefox/
Safari users cannot upload documents into a document library when the
site uses the Project Workspace template. Once Save/Close is
selected
nothing happens. I cannot find documentation on this on the MS site.
We are using WSS 2.0 (w/SP2) and Project Server 2003 (w/SP2a). IIS 6
running .net 1.1.
My hunch is that because the Project Workspace template is designed
to
be used with Project Server, and Project Server requires IE, that
there is some ActiveX control doing something which prevents other
browsers from working. Can anyone provide more information and maybe
a work-around?
Thanks!
